We use several specialized testing methods designed specifically to meet the requirements of electric vehicles. Our modular testing environment allows for testing various series with a single device, enabling fast revisions and production ramp-ups without time-consuming test equipment setup.

One of our key methods is automated computer-controlled point-to-point testing, which ensures the accuracy of wire harness connections and control systems. This method can also be used for delivering complete plug-and-play assemblies.

For high-voltage cables and control systems, series can be tested using Hi-Pot testing, where the series is exposed to significantly higher than normal operating voltage. This test ensures that insulation is strong enough to withstand electrical load without damage to the insulation.

Yes, this is one of our strengths. When we receive the customer’s original design, our technical team reviews it to see if more cost-effective components can be used or if the design can be optimized without compromising quality or performance. Our goal is to find solutions that reduce costs while maintaining product reliability and functionality.

Delivery time depends on the project's scope and complexity. Typically, the process begins with the review of technical drawings and the creation of prototypes, which can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. Once the prototype is approved and the golden sample stage is reached, mass production lead times are generally shorter. LAPP Connecto strives to meet customer timelines and ensures that each phase is carried out efficiently and with high quality.

When a customer provides plans and technical drawings, our team carefully reviews them and suggests potential improvements that could optimize the performance and cost-efficiency of the wire harness. We use a prototyping process, where the first model is tested and revised in collaboration with the customer. Only once all requirements are met and the golden sample stage is reached, do we move to mass production.
